The International Family Drug Support Day is set on the date of the passing of Damien Trimingham from a drug-related overdose. The day has become an annual event to highlight the need for families to not only be recognised and heard but to be supported and encouraged to speak about their concerns and their needs.
FSDP will discuss reducing stigma and discrimination for families and drug users, promoting family drug support services and harm reduction approaches and strategies for families and friends.
Venue: Mitchell County, GA Correction Facility, 4838 Highway 37 East Camilla, GA 31730.
